Hot off a year which saw them playing at The Winnipeg Folk Festival as one of The Wandering Minstrels (thanks to Fred Penner for jumping in to sing backup on Jaybird), leading a raucous kitchen party for The Moose ’N Fiddle Festival at Caliper Lake, Ontario, as well as packed backyard concerts, protest concerts and Park Alleys, The Fu Fu Chi Chi Choir are thrilled to be launching their full length album Chimes at Midnight at WECC - one of their favourite venues.
Joined by opening acts Amby and The Lady Lumps.
About Chimes at Midnight
A full length album featuring fan favourites from the last few years. The songs run the gamut from cheeky folk-pop to lively dance numbers, murder ballads to lamentations. Themes include friendship, social anxiety, and all our bad choices.
This album was a pursuit of what we love and carries with it all of the sacrifice, hard work, resilience, patience, forgiveness, and understanding that comes with getting it made.
Arising out of a time a great uncertainty, we, as a group, are aware that our love of music is a gift we share with each other, and in turn a gift of joy we send out into the world.
The Fu Fu Chi Chi Choir concert has been selected for the Setting The Stage mentorship program, sponsored by RBC and powered by Canadian Live. This amazing initiative supports independent and emerging artists.
