The West End Cultural Centre is thrilled to be partnering with Feast Cafe Bistro to present an evening of dinner and music. On Friday, August 28th, three powerhouse vocalists will take the stage at 6:30pm: Amber Epp, Jocelyn Gould, and Heitha Forsyth.
The three musicians met in the University of Manitoba’s Jazz Program, and have each charted their own paths as accomplished musicians. Amber Epp is a connoisseur of musical genres, both singing and playing piano comfortably in jazz groups and with Winnipeg salsa band, Papa Mambo. Jocelyn Gould sings and plays guitar in her active international performing career and heads up the guitar department at Humber College in Toronto. Heitha Forsyth (Sol James) presents roots and blues with a soulful flair, often pulling out a guitar or tambourine to accompany her unmatchable voice. These women are a force to be reckoned with; combining their singing and playing talents will showcase Manitoba’s incredible artistic talent and will have audiences smiling, tapping their toes, and celebrating the great stuff of life.
We partnered with Feast Cafe Bistro and the West End Biz to support our West End community. Located across the street from the West End Cultural Centre, Feast was the obvious first choice for this project. The staff at the WECC love Feast as much as the West End community does, and when we brought the idea to them, they were immediately interested in the partnership.
