Juno award winning singer songwriter Julian Taylor is visiting the WECC to celebrate his latest release.

Julian Taylor is a Canadian singer-songwriter and musician known for his versatile blend of folk, rock, soul, and roots music. He was born and raised in Toronto, Ontario, and is of mixed Mohawk and Caribbean descent.

Julian began his music career as a member of the band Staggered Crossing, which achieved notable success in the Canadian music scene in the late 1990s and early 2000s. After the band disbanded, Julian pursued a solo career, showcasing his ability to seamlessly blend various genres.

In 2013, he formed the Julian Taylor Band, which further cemented his reputation as a dynamic and talented performer. The band's music features a mix of soulful melodies, rock influences, and heartfelt lyrics. Their albums, including Tech Noir (2014) and Desert Star (2016), received critical acclaim.

Julian's solo work has also garnered significant attention. His 2020 album, The Ridge, was particularly well-received, earning multiple awards and nominations. The album, which features introspective songwriting and acoustic arrangements, highlights Julian's storytelling prowess and deep connection to his cultural roots.
