Jade Turner album release with Burnstick and Ryan Langlois

Country, Roots, Rock, Americana

For fans of Caleigh Cardinal, Shania Twain, John Prine, Don Amero, Matt Foster

With a natural talent for telling stories through music, rising Canadian country artist Jade Turner continues to share and support the Indigenous culture that inspires her. Recognized for her original songwriting and stunning music videos, the member of Misipawistik Cree Nation has already established a diverse audience attracted to her powerful stage presence and singles like Worth, Stay Wild Child, Hangover Blues, 2 time award winning song Deadweight and her latest single That Wind.

We are delighted that Jade is coming to The WECC to release her latest album, Breathe. Award winning musicians Burnstick and Ryan Langlois will open the show.

Burnstick

Built on emotion-stirring storytelling and unmistakable vocal harmonies accompanied by a century-old instrument, Burnstick, a JUNO nominated husband and wife Folk duo, are intent on creating affecting music that inspires listeners to feel. The Manitoba based Indigenous duo features Nadia and Jason Burnstick, esteemed independent artists who united over a decade ago to create deeply moving, cinematic Folk music using their trademark vocal pairing, and Jason's mastery of the lap slide Weissenborn guitar.

Ryan Langlois

Anthemic in delivery, Langlois reflects an impassioned Springsteen-esque leader, but one with decidedly more country influences than his predecessors. He plays a character in and of himself. Somehow tenuing the fantastic and unimaginable with the humble and sincere. His songwriting style spans roots, country, and Americana influences (John Prine, Johnny Cash, Bruce Springsteen). Often flourishing a simple idea into complex nuance.
