Our Readers
Satina Loren is one of Winnipeg’s most celebrated drag queens, being the recipient of prestigious awards and titles, including Miss Club 200 and Winnipeg’s Next Drag Superstar. Taking inspiration from fairytales, old Hollywood starlets and fantasy, her calendars and shows have raised thousands of dollars for local LGBT charities. As Empress 15 and 25 of Winnipeg and as one of the House of Gold Diamonds Divas, she’s no stranger to throwing and promoting a great party! One thing to remember is: she’s not bad, she’s just drawn that way.
Last year she dressed as Ariel from The Little Mermaid. We are honoured to have Satina returning for our second annual Story Time.
Miss Assuma Gender is the current Imperial Crown Prince and former Mx Queer Winnipeg. Miss Gender has performed at many Drag Story Times around the city as well as the Queer Bingo events that Sunshine House hosts at the West End Cultural Centre. We are excited to have this wonderful member of the Sunshine Bunch join us for this event.
