This show is presented by the National Arts Centre, West End Cultural Centre, Calgary Folk Music Festival & Edmonton Folk Music Festival.

The West End Cultural Centre is thrilled to be partnering with the National Arts Centre in Ottawa to present a livestream of The Good Lovelies Christmas Tour. Along with two other venues in Western Canada, The WECC will host this livestream on Friday, December 11th at 8pm.

The Good Lovelies are a roots/pop trio featuring the stunning voices of Caroline Brooks, Kerri Ough, and Sue Passmore. The trio has released four studio albums along with two Christmas collections and a live album. Along the way they’ve performed with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra and garnered a #1 single, four Canadian Folk Music Awards and a Juno award.

For this livestream, the ladies will be joined on stage by their band of merry gentlemen: Steve Zsirai on upright bass, Robbie Grunwald on keys and Mark Mariash on drums. The show will feature holiday favourites, original songs, and those three-part harmonies the Good Lovelies are known for.

“Since touring isn’t possible these days, bringing in bands via livestream is the next best option” said Jorge Requena Ramos, WECC Artistic Director. “We’ve had a long relationship with the Good Lovelies and we were thrilled with the National Arts Centre contacted us about hosting the Winnipeg livestream. As Winnipeggers hunker down this winter for the Christmas season, The Good Lovelies will be a perfect addition to their holiday soundtrack.”

This may be the only year where you can tune in to a Good Lovelies Christmas show wearing pyjamas, holding a glass or two of “Christmas cheer” -- and where you can sing along at the top of your lungs without getting funny looks from strangers!
