Local artists theresa thor and devon gillingham will share a co-release.
theresa thor is known for a decade of “poetic lyrics and experimental cadence shifts” (Grey Owl Point) as part of Winnipeg duo Bicycle Face, Theresa has appeared as a soloist and collaborator in the pop, folk, classical, Baroque, and experimental realms.
In her debut solo EP revery, piano fragments of Frederic Chopin frolic amidst buoyant woodwinds, the rich synth strains of a Jupiter-8, and lush field recordings collected from Theresa’s family farm.

devon gillingham is a bassist/multi-instrumentalist, from and currently based in Winnipeg.
His second full length album, “there’s a person in there”, is one that attempts to combine his interests in acoustic, open-minded jazz conceptions, with his love of bombastic rock music. He’s lived in these two worlds for almost as long as he can remember, and this is, in his words, “the proudest attempt at putting it all together”.
For fans of Wilco, Paul Motian, Grizzly Bear, and Dave Holland.
