Eagle and Hawk is a Multi Award winning music group that has become a well-established name is the Canadian music industry. Creating a sound that fused roots rock with Indigenous themes and elements, guitarist Vince Fontaine founded Eagle & Hawk with Troy Westwood in 1995 and stared touring in 1997. The journey took the band from Winnipeg, Manitoba, to stages in European and across North America where they blasted onto the scene with a powerful live show.

In 1998 with a growing demand for live bookings and tours, Jay Bodner joined Eagle & Hawk as the lead singer.

They soon wrote and released their second album titled Indian City which would continue to be their distinct sound of mixing Indigenous themes and pop elements.

One listen to Eagle & Hawk’s distinctive sound and you’ll be hooked. By blending inspired vision with musical talent, Eagle & Hawk have created a progressive style of ‘rock’ steeped in roots, fusion, and catchy songwriting that continues to earn fans and loads of fanfare worldwide.

Eagle & Hawk is widely considered the most celebrated Indigenous music group with over 70 nominations and over 35 major award wins including a Juno Award, 3 Western Canadian Music Awards, 10 Canadian Aboriginal Music Awards, 3 Native American Music Awards, 8 Indian Summer Music Awards, and 10 Aboriginal Peoples Choice Music Awards. Since 1997 the band has released over 8 albums.

Eagle & Hawk have a great live show that is energizing, interactive and entertaining. With 20 years under their belt and 8 albums, Eagle & Hawk have a vast variety of songs to build an exciting show. Lead by the creative force and vision of Vince Fontaine and powerful voice of Jay Bodner, they have worked audiences from coast to coast in Canada, across Europe, and throughout the United States.

Rounding out the band is long time member Lawrence (Spatch) Mulhall on bass, keyboardist Gerry Atwell, drummer and vocalist Rich Reid. Also featuring guest vocalists Shannon McKenney and Rena Semenko. Ray “Coco” Stevenson brings his world class traditional vocal style to the band a s featured performer. There are numerous alumni who have played with Eagle & Hawk over the past 20 years. The band has played numerous cities and performance highlightsincluding Canada Day in Ottawa (twice), New Orleans Jazz Fest (twice), Summerfest, Folk Festivals, TV appearances, 12 European tours and many more across the US, Canada and Europe.
