Danny Michel
Danny is a versatile musician known for his eclectic style and thoughtful lyrics. His career highlights include collaborations with renowned artists, such as touring with Stuart McLean and working with Jane Goodall. In 2015, he collaborated with The Garifuna Collective from Belize, resulting in a critically acclaimed album and a successful tour. Additionally, he founded the DM Ocean Academy Fund to support scholarships for a community high school in Belize. In 2016, he released “Matadora,” exploring various themes such as environmentalism and pacifism. He also recorded “Khlebnikov,” an album inspired by his Arctic expedition, with arrangements by film composer Rob Carli. Besides music, Danny is active in advocating for musicians’ rights and environmental causes, and he produces short films and hosts a comedy/sci-fi/music show called “Dan’s Space Van.”
