Osani Balkaran aka The O.B is a Guyanese/Cree abstract rapper & music producer from Winnipeg, Manitoba. He incorporates philosophies and aesthetics from both his cultures toshape and deliver a picture of day to day anxieties. His cinematic dreamlike performance paints a picture of imperfection and beauty using instrumentals and sound design. Furthermore, Osanihas a vast array of training and work experience with arts based organizations such as Studio 393/Graffiti Gallery, Synonym Art Collective, Red Rising Magazine, and Unity Charity. As a music instructor and youth ambassador, he hopes to bring continued investment and interest in the creative sector by connecting with the next generation of aspiring artists.


Alex’s music is a masterclass in instrumentation. Fusing jazz chops with classic soul influences, funk, and electro-pop, his songwriting explores human connection in the Anthropocene.

A Filipino-Canadian multi-instrumentalist and loop artist, Alex’s solo performances showcase his musical instincts. Layer by layer, he performs percussion, electric guitar, soulful vocals, keys, synth, SPDS drum pad and alto sax. With lush layers, complex harmonies, and a driving rhythm, his music will make you move.

Based in western Canada, Alex has had a varied career both as a solo performer and a band member (DNA6, Flannel Jimmy). He’s opened for the likes of Weezer, Wide Mouth Mason, Bachman Cummings, Mother Mother, Sam Roberts, Robert Randolph, Shred Kelly, Begonia, Royal Canoe, and The Proclaimers, and played alongside performers like Tonye Aganaba, Kyprios, Daniel Wesley and Vince Vaccaro.


The seasoned professional has toured Canada and the U.S. and his music has been featured in shows like Roadtrip Nation and The Collector. February 2020 saw the arrival of Alex’s second EP, Dream Final.

Maribeth Tabanera aka Kilusan (she/her/they/siya) is a queer filipinx femme multi-disciplinary artist, educator and activist. They are a second generation settler on Treaty No. 1 the original lands and waters of Anishinaabe, Ininiwak, Anishininiwak, Dakota, and Dene peoples, and on the homeland of the Métis Nation. Maribeth's ancestry is Tagalog from Navotas, Manila and Visayan from Tangalan, Aklan. Kilusan is a chosen Tagalog name that means movement of an individual and/or group.

A life-long learner, they have focused their energy on diving deeply into their passions of dance, music, education, social justice and community building. Maribeth holds a Graphic Design Diploma (Tec Voc, 2006),  Bachelors of Art (University of Winnipeg, 2010), Industrial Arts/Technology Teacher Education Diploma (Red River College, 2012), and Bachelors of Education (University of Winnipeg, 2013). Maribeth is the full-time Internship Coordinator at Seven Oaks Met School and Maples Met School in the Seven Oaks School Division, and an instructor with Graffiti Art Programming. They are also currently a member of Kultivation Festival, Seven Oaks Filipino Employees Association and Manitoba Association of Dance Educators.

Maribeth has spent over 25+ years training, in a variety of dance styles including breaking, hip hop, house, vogue, waacking, dancehall and afrobeat. They began their dance training at the age of 8, with Filipino folk dance organization, Magadaragat Inc. From 2006 - 2013, they were a member of Define Movement, one of Winnipeg's premiere Hip Hop dance crews. In 2015, Maribeth was part of Project Dance Company. The crew became one of the first groups to represent Winnipeg at the Canadian Hip Hop Championships in Montreal, and Canada at Hip Hop International in San Diego.  Since 2016, Maribeth has been a choreographer and performer with B.O.S.S. Dance Team.
